Bala-Ram(a)

Bala-Ram(a)
In Vedic myth the fair-haired twin brother of Krisna. He was considered to be an incarnation of Sesha, the Naga chief. From this it would appear that both the brothers were related to the Nagas and that Krisna joined the Hindu invaders while Bala-Rama stayed true to his people. Bala-Rama was also worshipped by the ancient Tamils under the name of Silappadikaram.
